These are the criteria for participation
• Your business idea must contribute to a more
sustainable planet! For example, by helping to save CO2 and protect the climate; or by making sure there is less plastic and packaging waste on earth; or by doing something about pollution or by making less food waste.
• Your business idea should already be fully developed! You are able to launch a product or service within the next two years.
Founders from all over the world can submit their sustainable business ideas to www.postcode-lotterie.de/greenchallenge by May 1st 2019. Applications in English are recorded via an online system. At
the end of June, the Postcode Lotteries Network, in collaboration with a national pre-jury, announces the top 25 who have qualified for the final selection. In the first week of September, the Top Five will be selected for the final round of the competition. If you belong to them, you will be invited to the pre-coaching and grand finale in early October in the Netherlands. There you present your Start-up to an expert audience and the international final jury.
With a total of one million Euro in prize money, a non-resident composition, a repayment obligation and 13 years of competitive experience, the Postcode Lotteries Green Challenge is one of the major international supporters of Green Start-ups. The five finalists will not only take the prize money of up to half a million Euro home with them: after the Challenge, the Top Five will receive an additional six-month expert coaching, which will support them to the market launch, customized-made to their needs.
